You are not an employee of
TrvlEz.
You are a Findr.

When you contact a hotel on behalf of TrvlEz, you are representing a brand that hotels and travellers need to trust completely. How you conduct yourself in every call, email, and conversation either builds that trust or damages it. Please take this seriously — your behaviour reflects directly on TrvlEz and on every other Findr in the network.

Step 01

The first call

Call the hotel and ask to speak directly to the owner or general manager. Introduce yourself by name and explain you are reaching out on behalf of TrvlEz. Ask if there is a good time to tell them more. If they are busy, agree a time to call back. Do not try to pitch everything on this first call. Your only goal is to open a door.

Step 02

The introduction email (same day or next day)

After your first call, whether you spoke to someone or not, log into your TrvlEz Findr portal and use the Refer a Partner tool. Enter the hotel name, their contact email, and optionally a short personal note of one or two sentences.

Step 03

Follow-up call, one week later

Reference the email: 'TrvlEz sent you an introduction on my behalf last week — did you get a chance to look at it?' If the manager is interested, have the conversation. If not ready, ask if you can follow up in a few weeks. Respect whatever answer you get.

Step 04

Second email, two to three weeks later

Go back to your Findr portal and trigger the follow-up email. You do not need to write anything — TrvlEz will send a second email taking a slightly different angle.

Step 05

Final call, around four weeks after first contact

One last call. Let the hotel know this will be your last outreach and that you completely understand if now is not the right time. Leave them with the TrvlEz hotel information page address and let them know they can sign up directly whenever they are ready. Then move on.

Key rule: At no point should you contact the hotel outside this sequence. Do not call more than once in the same week unless specifically invited to. Do not contact reception staff repeatedly. Do not reach out through personal channels such as social media.

On timing: If a hotel signs up to TrvlEz at any point within 12 months of your referral submission, even if they sign up directly, the hotel is credited to your Findr account, and your commission trail begins. You do not need to keep chasing. Do it right the first time, leave a good impression, and let it come to you.

Findr Programme FAQ

This FAQ lives on trvlez.com/findr, visible to everyone before sign-up. Written in plain English, not legal language. Answers the questions of someone evaluating the programme for the first time.

Yes, completely free. There are no sign-up fees, no monthly costs, and no minimum activity requirements. You create your Trvlez account, activate your Findr status, and you are in. You only ever earn — you never pay.
Yes. Findr status is activated through your existing Trvlez account. If you are not already a member, you will need to create a free Trvlez account and complete identity verification first. This takes under five minutes and only needs to be done once. Once verified, you can activate your Findr status immediately.
Anyone with a verified Trvlez account. You do not need a background in sales, hospitality, or travel. You just need to know hotels — whether that is a place you have stayed and loved, a property a friend manages, or a hotel you have researched and believe would be a great fit for the platform.
When a hotel you referred receives a booking through Trvlez, you earn a percentage of the commission Trvlez charges the hotel. For the first 12 months the hotel is live on the platform, you earn 10% of our commission on every booking. From month 13 onwards, you earn 1% of our commission on every booking — permanently, with no end date, for as long as the hotel remains on Trvlez.
A 50-room hotel, fully booked at £100 per room per night. Trvlez earns £500 in commission (10% of the £5,000 booking value). In year one, you earn £50 from that single night. From year two onwards, you earn £5 every night that hotel is fully booked — forever. Refer five hotels like that and those numbers multiply accordingly. The more active the hotel, the more you earn.
Payouts are processed on the first of every month and cover all commissions that cleared in the previous calendar month. Payment is made by bank transfer via Stripe Connect to the bank account you register in your Findr portal. You can update your bank details at any time. Commission is only released after a guest has checked out and a 48-hour window has passed with no dispute raised — so what you see in your payout is always confirmed, clean earnings.
Yes. Payouts are only processed if your balance for that month is £10 or more. If your balance is below £10 it rolls over to the following month and accumulates until it reaches the threshold.
The first Findr to submit a valid referral for a hotel owns the commission trail for that hotel. If you submit a hotel that has already been claimed by another Findr, you will be notified immediately and no claim will be registered. This is why it is worth submitting referrals as soon as you identify a hotel rather than waiting.
If you submitted a referral for that hotel and the hotel signs up to Trvlez within 12 months of your submission — even if they sign up directly through the website with no further involvement from you — the hotel is credited to your Findr account and your commission trail begins. You do not need to close the deal yourself. If you made the introduction and planted the seed, you get the credit.
It depends on the situation. If the hotel is already active and live on Trvlez — regardless of whether your original claim lapsed — you cannot resubmit them. They are already a Trvlez partner and no new claim can be made. However if you referred a hotel and they have still not registered with Trvlez after six months, your original claim is released and you are free to resubmit them as a fresh referral. Your 12-month early tier commission period would restart from the date they eventually go live.
Once you submit a referral, our team reviews it and contacts the hotel directly. If the hotel is interested and completes their onboarding, they typically go live within three to five working days. Some hotels take longer — it depends on how quickly they respond and complete their setup. You can track the status of every referral in your Findr portal at any time.
No. You are an independent Findr. You set your own hours, work at your own pace, and are not managed by Trvlez. You are responsible for your own tax obligations on any commission you earn. Trvlez will provide an annual earnings summary to help you with this, but it is your responsibility to declare your income in accordance with the tax laws of your country of residence.
No limit at all. The more hotels you refer, the more your passive income grows. Every hotel that goes live on the platform becomes a permanent part of your earning portfolio.
No. Once you have made your first call to a hotel, you log into your Findr portal and use the Refer a Partner tool. You simply enter the hotel name, their contact email, and an optional personal note of one or two sentences. Trvlez then sends a professionally written branded email directly from our platform on your behalf. Your personal note is included so the hotel knows this came from a real conversation. You can see in your portal whether the hotel opened the email or clicked the link.
We give you the flexibility to trigger follow-up emails through your Findr portal, and we trust your judgment — particularly if you have just spoken to a hotel manager and they have asked for the email again. However the platform will flag if it is very soon since the last email and suggest waiting a little longer. If you have a good reason to send sooner, you can override the suggestion with a quick note explaining why. Everything is logged so there is always a clear record of contact made. The system is there to help you make the best impression on hotels, not to get in your way.
Harassing a hotel means any behaviour that goes beyond the professional outreach approach we ask all Findr to follow. This includes calling a hotel more than once in the same week without being invited to, contacting reception staff repeatedly after being asked to stop, sending multiple unsolicited emails in a short period, pressuring a hotel manager after they have declined, misrepresenting what Trvlez offers to push a hotel into signing up, or contacting a hotel through personal channels such as social media in an uninvited or persistent way. If a hotel feels uncomfortable with how they have been approached by someone representing Trvlez, that is something we take seriously regardless of intent.
Yes. Every hotel contacted by a Trvlez Findr has the ability to report that interaction directly to us through the Trvlez platform. If a report is made, we investigate promptly. If we find that a Findr has behaved in a way that does not meet our conduct standards, their ability to refer new hotels will be suspended immediately. Hotels already in their portfolio continue to generate commission as normal. At this time there is no formal appeal process, though this may be introduced in the future. The best way to protect your account is to follow our guidelines from the start.
If your ability to refer new hotels is suspended due to a conduct issue, any hotels you have already referred that are live on Trvlez remain in your account. You continue to earn commission on their bookings as normal. Suspension only affects your ability to add new hotels — it does not affect what you have already built.
Yes. Trvlez operates internationally and welcomes hotel referrals from any country. If you have a connection to a great hotel anywhere in the world, you can refer it.
No. You cannot refer a hotel that you own, part-own, manage, or have a financial interest in. The Findr programme rewards genuine third-party introductions. Referring your own property to earn commission on your own bookings is not permitted and will result in immediate suspension of your Findr status. If you own a hotel and want to list it on Trvlez, you can do so directly through the hotel partner onboarding process.
If a hotel decides to leave Trvlez, your commission trail for that hotel ends at the point they deactivate. Commission already earned and cleared before they left will still be paid in your next monthly payout as normal. We cannot guarantee any hotel remains on the platform indefinitely, which is why building a portfolio of multiple hotels is always the strongest approach.
No. Each verified Trvlez user can have one Findr account only. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent suspension or claim the same hotel twice is a serious breach of our terms and will result in permanent removal from the programme.
You are not authorised to negotiate commission rates on behalf of Trvlez. If a hotel raises this, let them know the standard rate is 10% and direct them to the hotel information page or suggest they contact Trvlez directly. Do not make promises about rates or terms that have not been confirmed by Trvlez.
This is one of the most common responses you will get and it is not a no — it is an opening. Being listed on other platforms does not prevent a hotel from also listing on Trvlez. In fact most hotels list across multiple platforms simultaneously. Well-known booking platforms are known to charge significant commission rates that eat into a hotel's margins. Trvlez has been built to be lean and cost effective for everyone involved — lower commission, faster payment, and verified guests who never need to show a passport at reception again. These advantages work alongside whatever platforms the hotel already uses, not instead of them.
Be honest. Do not exaggerate the size of the platform or the number of hotels listed. If you do not know the current figures, say so and direct them to the Trvlez website for the most up to date information. Hotels talk to each other — an overstatement that gets found out will cost you the introduction and damage your reputation far more than an honest answer ever would. Being a start-up is not something to be shy about. Trvlez offers a significantly lower commission rate than the major established platforms, and unlike the industry norm where hotels can wait up to 30 days to receive their money, Trvlez releases payment within 48 hours of a guest checking in. You are not asking them to take a leap of faith — you are offering them a genuinely better deal at the start of something worth being part of early.
You are welcome to guide them to the hotel portal at trvlez.com and encourage them to complete their own onboarding. However you must not complete the onboarding process on their behalf, enter their details for them, or access their hotel account at any point. If it is found that a Findr has engaged in any fraudulent activity during the onboarding process, their account will be suspended immediately. We have a dedicated onboarding support system in place for hotels that need assistance — please direct them there. If you have feedback from the hotel during this process, please use the feedback option next to the hotel in your Findr portal. We review all feedback carefully and will contact the hotel partner directly where needed.
If you believe a commission payment is incorrect, contact the Trvlez Findr support team through your portal within 30 days of the payment date. Include the hotel name, the booking period in question, and the amount you believe you should have received. We will review and respond within five working days. Queries raised after 30 days cannot be investigated.
Commission is only released after a guest has checked out and the 48-hour dispute window has closed, so in normal circumstances you will not be paid commission on a cancelled booking. However if a cancellation or refund is processed after your commission has already been released, the commission amount will be deducted from your next monthly payout. This is rare but can happen in exceptional circumstances.
No. Your Findr account is tied to your verified identity and is non-transferable. You cannot sell, gift, or assign your account or your hotel portfolio to another person.
Contact Trvlez support immediately through the portal or by emailing security@trvlez.com. Change your password straight away. Your Findr account is linked to your verified identity and any unauthorised access is treated as a priority incident.
You have access to your Findr portal at all times, where you can track your hotels, earnings, and payouts. We provide the etiquette guidelines and outreach framework to help you approach hotels in the right way. If you have a question not answered here, you can contact the Trvlez Findr team directly through the portal.
